Four-level scaffolding safety training programme

The scaffolding certificate issued by Patera is a reliable proof of the competence and actual skills of the employees engaged in scaffolding work.

As the main implementer or the party exercising primary control over a joint site, you can ensure the actual competence of scaffolding workers entering your site by insisting that they hold Patera’s scaffolding certificate.

The training also meets the requirements of Section 57 of Government Decree 205/2009 and section 14 of the Occupational Safety and Health Act 738/2002 on the orientation of employees and the obligation to maintain competence.

Patera trains both new scaffolders in the scaffolding industry and more experienced scaffolders who have already worked in practice, as well as scaffolding inspectors.

Scaffolding certificate - proof of real competence

The scaffolding safety card™ comprises a four-level scaffolding safety training programme, from which you can complete the sections that correspond to your job description.

The training courses held by Patera always include both theory and practical training, and the competence introduced by each course is always verified through practical exercises and demonstrations. After passing the demonstrations and the final test, the participants receive a certificate issued by Patera, the scaffolding safety card™ with an NFC chip or QR code that allows easy verification of competence in the field.

Extensive content

Patera’s scaffolding training is comprehensive. It always covers standards, instructions and laws that define responsibilities, obligations and other requirements for scaffolding safety in Finland, a compliant scaffolding structure, and deviations and emergencies. In addition, the training takes into account matters relevant for each target group.

Practical training

Scaffolding work is a high-risk job, so practical training and demonstration of competence in practice are an absolute prerequisite for issuing a certified qualification.

Virtual training environment

The virtual scaffolding safety training environment we have developed is also utilised in practical training, which enables training even with demanding scaffolding structures and deepens expertise.

Why training?

The training provides up-to-date information on the scaffolding work requirements of Finnish legislation, in addition to which the employer complies with the statutory requirements for providing appropriate training for its employees.

By demanding Patera's scaffolding certificate, the main implementer ensures that only scaffolders and inspectors operating in accordance with Finnish legislation and the manufacturer’s operating instructions work in their area.

As proof of competence, Patera has issued a scaffolding safety card™, which can be easily checked in the field using an NFC chip or QR code.
