Scaffolding client training
Scaffolding client training - as important as scaffolder training
The scaffolding client is responsible for the safe use of scaffolding and maintaining safety throughout its use.<
Why training?
The employer’s responsibility for the orientation and training of its employees also covers scaffolding work. The Occupational Safety and Health Act 738/2002 requires the employer to train scaffolding clients, scaffolding inspectors and parties responsible for safety, which means in practice to provide instruction and guidance before the commissioning of new scaffolding and periodic inspections.
According to law, the person carrying out the inspection must also be qualified for their work. As the competence of the personnel improves, occupational safety improves, work becomes smoother, and costs decrease.
Since 2019, we have been training
scaffolding inspectors, scaffolding commissioning approvers or people in charge of scaffolding safety
Target group and goal
The training is intended for:
- Persons who order scaffolding in their work and are thus also responsible for its operating safety
- Scaffolding inspectorswho perform commissioning and weekly scaffolding inspections
- The party exercising primary control over the area
- Safety officers and other persons supervising occupational safety
Among other things, the training covers scaffolding safety legislation, scaffolding manufacturers’ operating instructions, and the scaffolding structure in accordance with the requirements.
After the training, you will know your responsibilities and obligations with regard to scaffolding safety, how to inspect scaffolding according to law, and how to act in exceptional situations. In addition, as a client, you will understand when it is worth using an external scaffolding inspector.
Practical training is carried out as in-person training on a field round and/or using the virtual scaffolding safety training environment developed by Patera.
Why choose Patera?
The training verifies the requirement of Section 14 of the Occupational Safety and Health Act 738/2002 on the orientation of your employees to scaffolding safety
The competence of your personnel improves your company’s level of occupational and scaffolding safety, and ensures smooth work and adherence to schedules
As the demands and quality of scaffolding work increase, there is no need to repair scaffolding afterwards, which saves time and money
Scaffolding safety training is now also available as open remote training.
